Krafton, the South Korean video game developer, has revealed the exciting Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023, featuring a staggering prize pool of Rs 2 crore. The tournament will kick off on July 20 and run until October 14, 2023. Divided into two phases, the event will begin with online qualifiers, followed by the offline grand finals from October 12 to 14, which will be open for fans to attend.

India CEO of Krafton, Sean Hyunil Sohn, emphasized their commitment to organizing innovative gaming events for the community, giving players valuable opportunities to establish their presence in the gaming world. BGIS 2023 is just the first step in creating a thriving gaming community in India.

The Grand Finals of the event will be broadcasted in 10 languages, including English, Hindi, and eight other regional languages, ensuring that the excitement reaches every corner of the country.

The series will start with "The Grind," where 256 invited teams will fiercely compete to secure their position among the top 64 teams, qualifying for Round 2 and Round 3 of the tournament. The Grind will determine which invited teams and players from the In-Game Qualifiers will make it to the main event.

Registrations for the BGIS series will take place from July 24 to August 2, with verifications occurring from August 3 to August 9. Verified teams will then engage in intense in-game qualifiers through 15 classic matches from August 10 to August 17. Their top 10 match scores will determine their rankings in the tournament. This highly anticipated event promises to be an exhilarating experience for gaming enthusiasts across the country.
