After stunning the audience with her spectacular performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama Padmaavat, Finally! The first look of Deepika Padukone starrer Chhapaak has been unveiled. The film is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal from Delhi.
Deepika will essay the role of Agarwal, who was attacked at the tender age of 15, by a 32-year-old man, who had one-sided attraction towards her. Deepika Padukone now runs an NGO that works for the acid attack survivors and is also a proud owner of a cafe which is managed by these survivors.
Laxmi turned her tragedy into a cause, enabling the Supreme Court to move the government (state and central) to control the sale of acid. Her inspiring journey of courage forms the base of Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak

On Monday, The actress Deepika Padukone took to Twitter to share the Chhapaak first look of her character named Malti. “The character that will stay with me forever…#Malti,” the actress captioned the picture. She reveal the details about the film will release on January 10, 2020.
The shooting of Chhapaak begins in Delhi. Chhapaak movie is jointly being produced by Fox Star Studios, Deepika Padukone’s own KA Entertainment and Meghna Gulzar’s Mriga Films.
Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film will release on January 10, 2020.
